q. How far is the race and how long will it take to complete the race?
This XTERRA Triathlon features a 1.5k swim, 25k mountain bike, and 8k trail run. The first finishers are expected to finish at the 2 hour mark.

q. How much is registration?
$85 Solo | $120 Team of 3 people through 7/31. Registration fee increases 8/1/08 to $95 Solo | $150 Team of 3 people
Registration is capped at 200 participants.
A USAT license is required. A one day racing license is available for $10
A portion of race fees will benefit Impact Racing Charities.

q. Is registration capped?
This race is limited to 200 participants.

q. Where is a good place for my fans to watch?
The deck of the Beaver Creek Chophouse near T2 is an easily accessible area for fans.

q. What about weather?
Race may be called for lightening or snow.  No refunds.

q. Is there camping in the area?
Sylvan Lake State Park outside of Eagle and Piney Lake, outside of Vail, are options, but are 45 minutes to over an hour drive from the race venue. View camping options here.

q.How do I arrange my race gear for the transition areas if the race is point- to point?
Drive up Village Road approximately 3 miles to the Beaver Creek Village Transportation Pick-up lot (Gear Drop Zone) located just beyond the Village Hall parking garage on the left side of the Village Road. Drop off your running gear for TA #2 (Bike to Run) on the lawn next to the base of Chair #6/ Centennial Lift. Drive down Village Road and park at the Beaver Creek Bear lot approximately, 1/4 mile west of the main Beaver Creek round-about. Ride your bike over to the Start/TA #1 located on the East end of Avon lake. After the race, you can either ride your bike down to your vehicle in the Bear Parking Lot or catch the free Beaver Creek shuttle bus back down to the Bear Parking lot. Your swimming gear will be brought up to TA #2 by race staff in the bag you will receive at race registration. Plan your gear bags accordingly. Transition areas close at 8:00am

q. Where and when can I pick up my race packet?
On Friday, August 8th, from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in Beaver Creek Village, registered athletes can pick up their race packets. Late registration on August 8th will also be available here. The Beaver Creek Registration Center is at the base of Centennial Lift near Starbucks – one escalator level down from Centennial Lift. Park in Ford Hall for packet pick-up only. Packets can also be collected on race day in Beaver Creek Village between 6:30am and 8:00am.
THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

 

q. Is there free parking in Avon?
Parking is available at the Avon Recreation Center and at the Beaver Creek Lots along Highway 6.

q. How do I get back to Avon after the race?
Beaver Creek's Public Transportation will be available after the post race party.   Participants can also ride bikes down Village Road to Avon, about 3 miles, downhill.

q. Where is Avon, CO?
Avon is located just an hour and twenty minutes from Denver and 20 minutes from the Vail/Eagle County Regional Airport.

q. Are pets allowed?
Guests are politely reminded that no dogs are allowed in Beaver Creek per resort regulations.  

q. Is there a host hotel?
East West Resorts is providing discounted lodging in Beaver Creek. Call 1.866.931.1038 and reference reservation 147084 to receive a discount. There is a 2 night minimum. Falcon Point Resort in Avon is offering lodging starting at $110 per night with a 2 night minimum. Call 877-920-8245. Poste Montane Lodge in Beaver Creek Village is offering rooms from $225 per night- call 800.497.9238.
